Seismic Assessment of Multistorey building of plan irregularity with varying A/L ratio (Re-entrants corners)

چکیده

Abstract Buildings with re-entrant corners are used when maximum utilization is done over minimum available space. These come under the plan irregularities of structures. Plan irregularity (or) Vertical makes vulnerable seismic loading. Structural an important factor in that structure’s performance structure. This study aims to gain behaviour building L-shape floor by checking response demands been measured varying A/L ratios. The includes top displacement, interstory drift, Story Stiffness, and base shear. consists 5 models ratios 3 sub-divided various positions shear wall (i.e.) a model without wall, at centre, periphery. 15 made for clear effective position analysed ETABS using Equivalent static method (ESL) Response Spectrum (RS) methods. results prove lesser ratio satisfies analysis even excluding lift RCC whereas increases only provided Thus, economical found demand As more must be regular configuration possess significant resistance.

Seismic Performance Analysis of RCC Multi-Storied Buildings with Plan Irregularity

Bangladesh is one of the most earthquake prone areas in South-Asia and Sylhet is the most seismic vulnerable region in Bangladesh. Seismic performance analysis is highly recommended to ensure safe and sound building structures for this region. To get better performance from reinforced concrete (RCC) structure, new seismic design provisions require structural engineers to perform both static and...

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

Comparative Analysis of a Multistorey Building with and

Viscoelastic dampers are considered to be better than most of the passive energy dissipation devices. Researches done on the improvement of its performance for analyzing structures has always been in vogue. The significant change in the response of the structures to make it resistant to earthquake and wind forces is the main idea behind using such devices. A comparative analysis of a G+44 RCC s...

Seismic Response of Building Structures with Sliding Non-structural Elements

Interaction between a structure under base excitation and heavy non-structural elements that it supports is significant in the seismic analysis and design of the structure. Heavy non-structural elements may slide/rock under base excitation, and this dynamic action affects the seismic behavior of the supporting structure. Hence, in this study, a numerical model was presented to describe the seis...

Altitude Determination of a Pedestrian in a Multistorey Building

A challenging task in using pedestrian navigation and guidance services indoors is to determine the correct floor of a user in a multi-storey building because most indoor location techniques only provide 2-D information. In this case it can be recommended to augment the position determination system with a barometric pressure sensor for direct observation of height differences. In the research ...
